July 10 … WE’RE GOING ON A BOAT!

• Who: Entire DCK League (first come first serve)
• What: 3-hour cruise on the Cherry Blossom River Boat (see below) with an open bar
• When: Friday, July 10.  Boarding starts at 7:45 PM with a prompt departure at 8:00 PM.  Don’t be late or stuck at the dock. The boat will return 11:45 PM.
• Where: City Marina in Old Town Alexandria, VA
• Why: We’re on a Boat … with a premium bar that includes Dewars Scotch, Bacardi Rum, Jack Daniels Bourbon, Absolut Vodka, Bombay Gin, CC, VO, Heineken, Budweiser, Bud Light, Amstel Light, Coke products, Perrier Sparkling Water, Bottled water, Montevina Pinot Grigio, and Hayman & Hill Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
• How Much? $30 for registered players.
• How: Tickets available soon.  Ask your Division President about how to purchase tickets or keep checking back on the DCK website.

There is really no drinking half as enjoyable as daytime drinking, when the sun is out, the bars are empty of dilettantes, and the afternoon stretches ahead of you like summer vacation. The gleeful complicity you and your drinking buddies share in the excellent decision to have one more ill-advised round, knowing full well you’re forfeiting the day — you can almost physically feel something lifted from you at this moment, even if you know it will fall back more heavily later on.

Constitution Division Hosts Draft/Mixer on March 21

Date Saturday, March 21
When 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Where Columbia Heights Area

As one of two pre-season events, the Constitution Division will host the first-ever Draft/Mixer. It’s all a seriously bad pun for “drafting” independent players and groups while having “draft” beer. It’s also about being a social “mixer” with teams serving “mixer drinks” at mixing stations. The mixer will be hosted on the rooftop of a private residence at Columbia Heights (contact your Captain or the Division President for details). This is a free event with beer provided by the Division and mixing stations by the teams. Look for crowd favorites like Capitol Hill Chainsaw Massacre by the Capitol Hillbillies and the Orange Iguana Screw by the Orange Iguanas. Other mixing stations include:

- Margaritas
- Redheaded Slut
- Knock Me Down & F*** Me
- McLoving – Powerade for Pornstars
- Mimosa
- Liquid Heroin
- Gin Bucket
- Mexican Prairie Fire
- Kamikazes
- Dark & Stormies
- The Red Drink (something that includes Everclear & Koolaid)
- The F**king Shit
- Jello Shots

Think of it like rushing for a fraternity or sorority but with much less hassle – just impress people with flipping or kicking prowess.
