Yes. That is Mr. Belding hanging out with the Capital Conference last night.
The Constitution Division of DCKickball is throwing a Happy Hour mixer/speed meeting event this Wednesday, May 12th, at Buffalo Billiards in Dupont. The concept is simple: you spend a minute or two with someone OTHER THAN YOUR OWN TEAM getting to know what team they’re on, why they joined the best kickball league in DC, etc. It’s a great way to network and meet peeps outside of your own team and division. You could find your next job, roommate, or BFF! Or, just flirt to your heart’s content… :-)
We’ll have great drink and food specials throughout the night, in our own private room! A voluntary donation of $5 per person will go to Metro TeenAids in their mission to support young people in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Through education, support, and advocacy, MTA works to prevent the spread of HIV, promote responsible decision making, and improve the quality of life for young people infected with, or affected by, HIV/AIDS.
If you don’t play DCKickball, but want to hang out and meet tons of fun peeps and help out a great local organization, please feel free to swing on by!
Okay. Now let’s blow it up…
This Friday night (May 7th) will be DCKickball’s first Guest Bartending Night of the season!
Here’s the best part… wait for it…all tips are going to the Marie Reed Student School Supply Fund that we’ve created.
We have the whole upstairs at Adams Mill from 7-11pm on Friday night (May 7th). Come get served by some of kickball’s hottest as they co-bartend with the always sexy Matt from the Mill. And yes, they’re putting the flip cup tables out. As always, we are getting specials that have no business being offered on a Friday night:
So join us on Friday while we drink, tip, flip and be generous. Here’s to the kids!
There have been lots of high points (and low points) in the 6 years we’ve been running DCKickball. But having a character like Andrew Wood from the Real World DC sporting our gear during this poignant and touching romantic moment in Episode 9 (or 10?) really gave me goose bumps.
I mean, who among us hasn’t brought a cute girl (or guy) home after a stirring victory and a few rounds of flip-cup? Andrew is the epitome of what DCKickball is all about: meeting cool people and having a good time!
UPDATE: JUNE CRUISE IS NOW SOLD OUT!
Why have one Boat Cruise, when you can do TWO! We had so much fun celebrating DCKickball’s 5th anniversary last year, we decided to ring in our 6th year with two cruises! Sign up for either one, or both if your sea legs can handle it! You can check out some of the pics from last year’s shindig on facebook or all of the pics on flickr.
Don’t wait too long to register cause we sold out in less than 10 DAYS last year!
